I have lived up here for over 15 years and have seen sheets of ice on Lake Arrowhead over the years but have never seen it completely frozen over. I believe the Lake Arrowhead is too deep to completely freeze over.

I am concluding that our planned fly fishing family reunion trip to the Texas Gulf is on hold for this summer. Maybe stream fishing in Montana or Georgia would be an ideal choice instead. Finding a good spot for fly fishing is my main certain. I hear they have clean water with plenty of fish.
