Builder confidence in the Lake Arrowhead real estate market for newly built, single-family homes remained unchanged at low levels in December. Most local Lake Arrowhead real estate builders are turning to remodeling and additions rather than new construction.

One local builder is looking to build in Crestline rather than Lake Arrowhead solely to stay in the lower price range as he is building the spec with his own funds. The Crestline lot is $15,000.00 and the Lake Arrowhead Lot is $25,000.00. Mike the builder explains…. “Between AWAC Arrowhead Woods Architectural Committee and LACSD Lake Arrowhead Community Services District it costs almost $30,000.00 just to get a meter and approval. Add another $10,000.00 for Edison and the Gas Company plus the cost of the lot, plans, survey, topo, engineering and you’re looking at $85,000.00 before you break dirt.”
